You don't know what software engineers do
You may know that computers use binary data, i.e. a bunch of 1s and 0s. So... how do we get from a bunch of 1s and 0s to stuff like operating systems and web browsers? This is the work of software engineers. It's not magic, and if you're curious enough you can learn (and even help build) what goes on behind the curtain of our digital world.
